Rehearsed Reading Night VI

Wed 27 June 2018
The Peacock, Sunderland

What better day to hold another of our successful Rehearsed Reading Nights than on National Writing Day?!

We had another great turn out, who saw five fantastic new pieces of writing performed script-in-hand by our company of dedicated actors. And once again, the hugely talented Josh Hodgson entertained the audience throughout the night with his mix of cover and original songs.

The program for the evening was:

Paul Hartley & Paul Dunn performing, Vanessa Karon on tech

Tuscany Blow by Ray Hopkins
CAST: Paul Hartley, John Seymour

Father’s Day by Alan Parkinson
CAST: David Foster

Sisterhood by Susan Wear
CAST: Sarah Seymour, Hannah Potter

Stuff by John Seymour
CAST: Paul Hartley, Leon McGuinness, David Foster

Stella by David Tufnell
CAST: Laura Lonsdale, Victoria Holtham, Doreen Franklin

And this time the audience were encouraged to get involved too, taking part in National Writing Day. They were encouraged to write something on the theme of ‘I feel most free when…’ We had some fantastic contributions…

The whole evening was presented and curated by Paul Dunn and Vanessa Karon.
