Short Story Competition Closes

After much deliberation, here at Cranked Anvil we’ve decided to streamline our operations in the coming months.

As a result, we are closing our short story competition with immediate effect.

All the entries we received for the April 2024 deadline are currently with the reading judges, and the results of that one will be announced and prize monies paid.

But as of now (May ’24) we are closed to any further short stories.

Our current Flash Fiction competition will still remain open until its next deadline of 31st May, after which we will assess the situation again.

We’d like to thank all the writers who have submitted over the last five years and who have allowed us to publish their brilliant work, which you can read here.
