Short Story

Our Short Story Competition is open all year round.

Your story/stories can be any theme or genre, but must be a maximum of 1,500 words (not including the title).

The deadline for this competition is midnight (UK time) on the last day of the following months:

January
April
July
October

You may enter up to TWO stories in each quarterly competition.

Entry fees: £5 for ONE story | £8 for TWO stories.

Prizes
1st – £100
2nd – £50

The two placed stories from each quarter will be published on this website. Future anthologies will also be considered, published by Cranked Anvil Press, in which a selection of short- and long-listed stories from each competition will be published.

The results will be announced here (and in our social media) within six weeks of the closing dates.
