“Look, Sam. A twelve hour long haul from LA to London with a total stranger. So, she’s the best thing that has ever happened. That’s it. Can’t let you exit my life without at least trying. Will that do?”
Her eyes considered this wild seemingly impulsive man, that had crossed her life. Initially she’d given him the cold shoulder. However, he was a good conversationalist, engagingly persistent. Crazy stuff for a cardiologist from Cambridge to handle. A Scottish architect who lived in an impressive house on Loch Tay.
“Guess that will do fine, Pete.”
