May 2024 – Flash Long List

Since we revamped and regenerated our website a couple of months ago, we’ve noticed a LOT more activity here, and many new visitors and subscribers to our site – WELCOME to you all!

If you haven’t subscribed yet, why not do it now by clicking the button right at the bottom of this page. (Keep scrolling all the way down!) You’ll receive an email notification whenever we make an announcement or blog post – plus, every time we publish a new piece of flash or microfiction you’ll get it sent straight to your inbox… Brand new FREE fiction – what reader/writer wouldn’t want that?!

Microfiction

Speaking of microfiction, we’ve received loads of submissions to our Fiction 123. You can read the latest ones by clicking here. And if you write microfiction – or even if you don’t but you’d like to give it a try – why not submit to us here. It’s free to do so, and all successful work is published on our website.

And of course, our flash fiction competition continues –
why not enter it today?
Cash prizes ~ Low entry fees ~ Any theme/genre

Print Anthologies

We’ve had a few writers enquiring recently about our print anthologies, and whether or not there are any more on the horizon.

Although it’s not something we’re working on right at the moment, (as we’re focussing on some of the other writing opportunities and resources we’re planning to roll out), it’s certainly something we’re aiming to do in the not-too-distant! So do keep an eye on our website for future anouncements (or SUBSCRIBE to make sure you get notified before anyone else!)

But if you want to get your fix of our latest print anthology (or just a taster of the kind of work that makes our shortlists and winning entries), you can still buy a copy of How Far The Distance – featuring 34 short stories from our competitions. Just click the image to the left to head to our bookshop page.

Flash Competition May 2024 Long List
