There’s been a lot of reading going on at CAHQ over the Christmas and New Year, and today we’re delighted to announce the latest Flash Fiction Long List.

Cranked Anvil has been going since 2012 – and exclusively as an Indie Press since 2019. We’re a small-scale, non-profit set up, working primarily in our own time around other projets and work commitments. It’s getting more and more difficult to keep going, but we really don’t want to give up!
We know that times are hard at the moment, and everyone is feeling the economic squeeze. Nevertheless, we’re hoping some of you might be willing and able to help us keep going into 2025 and beyond, by way of a small donation.
We’re hoping soon to set up more ways that people can help – and receive rewards for doing so – but for now, we’re just asking you to ‘buy us a cup of coffee’ (or even a grande latte if you want to!)

November 2024 Long List
Don’t forget, if you are entering our flash fiction competition, make sure you read all the rules of entry carefully before submitting – we’re still receiving some entries that don’t adhere to the competition rules, and therefore must be disqualified and go unread. And NO writer wants that!
