Rehearsals continue for RRN III

The first readthrough of Alpha Blond(e)

Thu 6 Mar

Only 3 weeks to go now, until our third Rehearsed Reading Night takes place, and the plays are starting to come together nicely.

Last night, we had the first ’round-the-table’ readthrough for Peter Dawson’s piece, Alpha Blond(e), with the cast and director subsequently putting it on its feet and exploring the text in more detail.

It’s a very stylised play, which should provoke a lot of thought and feedback when we open with it on the night of the 27th.

The cast are:
Billy  STEPHEN SULLIVAN
Holly  DANIELLE MILLER

Sally  KYLIE ANN FORD

The show is taking place upstairs at The Marine Pub, on Ocean Road in South Shields.  Tickets are just £5 on the door.

It’s full steam ahead for our Rehearsed Reading Night III

Tue 25 Feb 2014

The venue is confirmed, and so are the acts!

After last year’s successful nights in Sunderland, we’re looking forward to bring back our Rehearsed Reading Nights in South Shields throughout 2014.

The first one of the year is taking place on Thursday 27 March, at the Marine Pub on Ocean Road.

We’ve got four great pieces lined up, written by Peter Dawson, Rachael Walsh, Frank Ditchburn and Wayne Miller.  With four highly experienced and accomplished local directors on board, together with a wealth of local acting talent – not to mentioan the fantasticx musical skills of Aimie Jeffels and Jonny Winter to provide interval entertainment – the evening promises to be one of the best we’ve yet produced.

And tickets are only £5 on the door – what a bargain!

You can find out more info about the event here.  We’ll see you on the night!
